Welcome to Kite. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kite website, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Kite, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Kite is a platform that helps people connect for conversations about career paths, education, life decisions, and personal experience.
Kite provides the platform only. Hosts participate in their personal capacity and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Kite unless explicitly stated.
You may use Kite only if you are legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you may use Kite only with parent or legal guardian permission and in compliance with applicable law.
If you use Kite on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account.
You may not share your account, impersonate others, or use Kite in a misleading or fraudulent way.
Hosts on Kite share personal experience, opinions, and perspective. They do not provide professional legal, medical, financial, mental health, or other licensed advice through Kite.
Hosts are not expected to provide job referrals, internships, admissions help, or any guaranteed opportunity. All conversations are informational only.
Users are responsible for deciding whether advice or perspective shared in a conversation is useful for their own situation.
Kite may allow users to browse profiles and book conversations with hosts.
By using booking features, you understand that:

We may suspend or remove users who violate these rules.
You may provide content such as profile details, photos, bios, availability, messages, and feedback ("User Content").
You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it to Kite, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, use, display, reproduce, and modify it as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content is accurate and that you have the right to share it.
Users are responsible for the accuracy of their profile information, including education, work history, skills, and affiliations.
Kite does not guarantee that profile information, conversation content, or other user-provided information is accurate, complete, or current.
A user's employer, school, or organization listed on Kite does not imply endorsement by that entity.
Your use of Kite is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information.
Kite and its platform, design, branding, software, and content are owned by Kite or its licensors and are protected by law.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
Kite may use or link to third-party services such as video platforms, scheduling tools, email providers, analytics tools, or payment processors.
We are not responsible for third-party services or their policies. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Kite at any time if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or Kite, or if we decide to change or discontinue the Service.
You may stop using Kite at any time.
KITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KITE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND AVAILABILITY.
Kite does not guarantee any particular result from using the Service, including job offers, referrals, internships, admissions, or ongoing relationships.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KITE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KITE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KITE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kite and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your interactions with others, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Kite will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may post the updated Terms on the Service or provide notice by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of Kite after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
